Hello and welcome!
I’m Amanda, a 200-hour certified yoga and aerial instructor.
Yoga yokes opposites to create balance: inhale and exhale, breath and movement, mind and body, the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems… when we explore these delicate relationships, we find that any state of equilibrium is a reflection of an adaptable, dynamic, and efforted dance.
Join me for creative and seasonally-inspired flows rooted in functional anatomy to find balance and equilibrium both on and off your mat.

What people are saying…
“Amanda teaches yoga with a creative plan, direct and clear instructions with a minimum of words and a soothing voice tone, a perfect - for me - pacing, well-placed tidbits of yoga philosophy, and the best ending ritual of any class I've ever had. She is strong, friendly, and refreshing. Give yourself the gift of attending one of her classes - you'll be delighted you did!
…and I mean ALL of it!”
— Barbara Bingham
“Learning yoga with Amanda is truly wonderful. She understands and adapts to the needs of each student all while challenging them to improve.
Amanda is the best yoga teacher I have ever had and I look forward to
every class with her. Do yourself a favor and learn yoga with Amanda!”
— John Petry
“It's a great pleasure to take classes with Amanda. Combining instruction with fun and comfort with challenge, she makes each class unique. Her knowledge of yoga principles is apparent and she lets us know why we are doing our poses and how we are helping our bodies with these poses. As a senior I appreciate the measured instruction, the pace of the classes, and the clarity of her directions. The classes are helpful both to the student starting out and the seasoned practitioner. I love to practice with her!”

Student first,

I’m Amanda Picone. I love to teach yoga for it enables me to share a revered practice with deep roots which guides me every day. I received my 200hr floor training through Yoga Works, and my 60hr aerial training through Aerial Vinyasa. Keeping “the student” as my top priority, I am currently enrolled in Yoga Bohemia’s 300hr teacher training, forever learning! I invite you to join me on the floor or in the silk for a breath-focused and alignment-based flow full of laughs and facts. My dedicated personal practice began in 2015 after working at Camp Yogaville, and I went on to complete both YogaWorks 200hr and Aerial Vinyasa YTTs in 2018. I like to weave my background in biology and UX with my passion for yoga, listening to what my students need in each class. I enjoy highlighting how yoga yokes opposites to create balance: inhale and exhale, mind and body, breath and movement, yin and yan, the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems… exploring these delicate relationships reveals that any state of equilibrium is, at its core, a reflection of a constant and dynamic dance. Whether it is your first class or your 100th flow, I am honored and excited to practice with you!
